If it was stored at a temperature below 0° C / 32° F, leave it at 20° C / 68° F for 12 hours before unfolding. Inflate it with
an inflator from Sevylor or any inflator designed for inflatable boats, rafts, pool floats, air beds, camping mattresses,
and
other low pressure inflatables. These types of inflators will have a hose and adapters to fit the valves on this product.
Any use of an air compressor will damage your product and automatically void all warranties.
Choose a smooth and clean surface to unfold your product.
1. Attach the fin on the underside by folding the hull. Insert the extremities of the fin in the loops and stretch the hull as
much as possible to hold it in position. Once the kayak is inflated, this operation becomes impossible. The curvature
of the fin must be oriented towards the back end of the kayak.
2. Your canoe/kayak is equipped with two different types of valves:
a) Boston valve(s) – please see opposite figure : Unscrew the valve cap (1). Screw
the valve insert (2) onto its base (3) and check that the valve cap stays accessible.
Insert the pump hose end piece and inflate it until you will reach the required
pressure (see point 3). After inflation fit all the valve(s) cap tight (clockwise).
NOTICE: A slight air-leak before screwing the valve(s) cap is normal. Only the
valve(s) cap can ensure final AIR TIGHTNESS.
b) Push-in valve(s): open the Velcro flap/cover, pull the valve out slightly and remove
the plug from the valve ; inflate the chamber by using the adapter of the inflator which fits the valve. Close the
valve and press it into the air chamber. Close the Velcro flap/cover.
3. Inflate the kayak in the order of inflation as shown on the capacity plate printed on the product (see also figure # 1 –
numbering of the valves).
4. Max. air pressure : the correct pressure for this item is : 0,1 bar/1.45 PSI (= 100 mBar). Do not exceed it.
Please check the pressure with the supplied pressure gauge (refer to the "Instructions for the manometer").
Overpressure : deflate until you reach the recommended pressure. Drop of pressure : inflate again slightly.
E
If you leave your product exposed to the hot sun check the pressure and deflate it slightly, otherwise the
N
material might be overstretched. The ambient temperature affects the tube's internal pressure : a variation of
G
1° C/ 1.8° F causes a variation of the pressure in the tube of +/- 4 mBar (.06 PSI).

REMOVABLE FIN
S
It is recommended to use the fin in deep water (lake, sea...) where it will allow you to move forwards in a straight line.
Do not use it in shallow water or white water: the fin would deteriorate the bottom of the kayak in shallow water and
H
reduce the manoeuvrability in white water. The kayak is equipped with moulded directional strakes to allow a good
performance without fin.
INFLATABLE / ADJUSTABLE BUCKET SEAT(S)
Your kayak is supplied with a (or several) bucket seat(s), featuring a comfortable high backrest. The seat is held in
place by the Velcro strips on the underside and by webbing straps on the sides of the backrest. Place the seat(s) into
the kayak, matching the position of the Velcro strips on the floor. Attach the webbing straps from the sides of the
backrest to the buckles located inside the kayak, on the side walls/chambers. Tighten the straps as needed for the
proper back support.
DRAIN PLUG
Your kayak has been designed with a drain system located on the underside of the kayak in the rear. It consists of a (or
several) drain port(s) with a plug, for those of you who would like to use the kayak in calm waters and do not wish to
get their bottoms wet. To close the drain port(s) with the provided plug(s), it may take a certain amount of force and
effort to insert (force) the plug(s) into the hole(s); this tight fit will assure that the plug(s) will stay in place until you
remove it (them) before a thrilling white water adventure or if you decide to do some kayak surfing.
The drain system offers a tremendous advantage especially in white water, the self bailing system is designed to drain
the water quickly from the kayak. A drain system improves the performance and adds safety when running white water
as a kayak full of water is heavy and difficult to maneuver.
Important Note:
Before you begin inflation, you may want to either plug the drain port(s) for a dryer ride or leave it (them) open to
benefit of the drain feature. The drain port is (are) more accessible with the boat deflated.
