Installing MagicSpeed
To establish and test the electrical connection, the following tools are
required:
Diode test lamp (fig. 1 9, page 3) or voltmeter (fig. 1 10, page 3)
Insulating tape (fig. 1 12, page 3)
Sealant
Cable bushing sleeves (optional)
To fasten the module and the cables, you may need additional screws and
cable binders.
6.2 Mounting the control lever

Please observe the manufacturer's regulations when
disassembling and assembling the steering column panelling.

When selecting the installation location, observe the following
instructions:
Make sure that, when using the control lever, the driver:
– Does not have to reach through the steering wheel
– Does not have to alter the seat position
Make sure that the installation location is not within the possible head
impact or airbag region of the driver or passenger.
Remember to leave a distance of 14 mm between the steering column
panelling and the components beneath it.
Make sure the cables are of the correct length.

Also observe the assembly instructions provided with the speed
regulator.
➤ Remove the steering column panelling (fig. 6 1, page 4).
➤ Drill a hole with a diameter of 8.5 mm (fig. 7 1, page 5) in the steering
column panelling.
