➤ Stick some foam (fig. 8 1, page 5) into the corner where you have made
the hole, e. g. using double-sided adhesive tape.
➤ Screw the control lever onto the steering column panelling (fig. 9,
page 6).
You can alter the angle of the control lever by twisting the angle washers
(fig. 9 1 and 2, page 6).
Caution

Make sure that the connection cable from the control lever does not
make contact with moving parts.
➤ Lay the connection cable (fig. 9 3, page 6) in the steering column
panelling.
➤ Assemble the steering column panelling.

7.1
General notes on laying cables
Note

As far as possible, use original ducts for laying the cables, or other
suitable options, such as panelling edges, ventilation grilles or
dummy plugs. If no openings are available, you must drill holes for
the cables. Check beforehand that there is sufficient space on the
other side for the drill head to come out.

Cables and connections that are not properly installed will cause
malfunctions or damage to components. Correct installation of
cables and connections ensures lasting and trouble-free operation
of the retrofitted components.
