while 3‐6 inputs are 2 x RCA unbalanced connectors. All inputs are AUX level (0 dB) and have
independent volume control with +6 dB/‐12 dB regulation. RCA connectors are linked internally to
sum left and right stereo signals.
Unit includes REC OUT. This output broadcasts at Line level the current output of the system,
INPUTS 1‐6, Emergency or NOVA‐12RM audio.
4.5. TRIGGER INPUTS CONNECTION
NOVA‐500 and NOVA‐500S include 8 contact inputs. These contacts can be used to a activate
Emergency messages, General messages (BGM) or assign any audio input to outputs.
There are two operating modes "Contact mode" and "Level mode". Selection between modes is
carried out through switch nº 3 of NOVA‐500 rear panel configuration switch. ON "Contact mode"
OFF "Level mode". In "Contact mode" it is only required to close the contact to activate the
assigned function. In "Level mode" 2 resistors have to be installed next to activation device, these
resistors permit the surveillance of the cable, so that if it is cut or short‐circuited failure is detected.
