5 Operation
The control panel allows function selection and shows the unit status.
The DET-GRAS N does not have main switch. After plugging the unit, it starts to
operate. By pressing «ESC» key from the main menu, the unit goes to "Sleep" status
(Similar as when you stop the TV with the remote control).
Press any key to restart the unit.
Note: For a long time of no operation, please unplug the unit from mains.
5.1 Control panel
Figure 5.1 shows the DET GRAS N control panel that has an LCD display and 4 keys.
The control software has this main menu:

5.2 Programming
To perform a fat extraction with DET GRAS N, a program must be used. Up to 15
programs can be stored, in order to be used on a different extraction process.
A program has the following parameters:
•
Program Name: 9 characters name. Choice a name that will be useful to remember,
for example the type of sample.
•
Solvent: On depending the solvent chosen, it automatically sets the heating
temperature. This avoids the danger of using a temperature that could be dangerous
according to the solvent used.
•
«Boiling» time: Time (minutes) that the sample will remain immersed under the
boilling solvent.
•
«Rinsing» time: Time (minutes) that the sample will be under the action of the
solvent steam and the condensed one.
