CEBORA S.p.A.
3.3.3 - The start pushbutton produces no effect.
TESTING TORCH START BUTTON
With start pushbutton contact open, voltage at FASTON terminals M4 (+) and M3 (-)
of display board (57) = +12 Vdc (), RL2 not excited
With start pushbutton contact closed, voltage at FASTON terminals M4 (+) and M3 (-
) of display board (57) = 0 Vdc (), RL2 excited.
♦ Check the wiring between FASTON terminals M4 (+) and M3 (-) of the display
board (57) and terminals 1 and 9 of centralised attachment on the power source,
torch pushbutton and torch nozzle protection contact.
♦ Make sure that the torch nozzle protection is correctly assembled and in good
working order. Replace if defective or showing signs of wear.
♦ Check torch pushbutton. Replace if damaged.
♦ Check that the voltage at terminals 2 (+) - 1 (-) of connector J15 of display board
(57) is 24 V +/- 5 %.
connector J15 of display board (57); Check the wiring between power source
(10) and connector CN2 of service filter board (7); If 24 Vdc voltage is not
present at terminals 2 (+) - 1 (-) of connector J15 of display board (57), replace
power source (10).
♦ Check a voltage of 230 Vac +/- 10% is present at terminals 3 and 7 of connector
CN2 of service filter board (7). If a voltage of 230 Vac is not present, replace
service filter board (7).
♦ Replace display board (7).
♦ If display board (7) is damaged, check the conductors of the start pushbutton
and those of the torch electrode and nozzle are properly insulated from one
another. If the insulation is inefficient, replace the complete torch unit. Loss of
insulation between torch cable conductors could damage the panel board (57).
TESTING START CONTROL.
Control board (48), connector CN2, terminals 11(+) and 12 = 13.8 +/- 5 Vdc with
torch start pushbutton released. Check (48) connector CN2 terminals 11(+) - 12 (-) =
+ 0 Vdc with torch pushbutton pressed.
♦ Check the wiring between the J12 panel board (57) and CN2 control board (48).
If correct, replace control board (48).
