Final assembly
Align the exhaust system. Make sure that the silencers do not touch any other parts of the motorcycle. Tighten all screws and nuts:
- Tighten the manifold nuts evenly on the cylinder head to 25 Nm.
- Manifold clamp under the engine to 25 Nm.
- Carbon clamp on the subframe.
Remove all grease remains with a soft cloth sprayed with multi-purpose solution (Motorex Joker 440).
Cleaning prevents stains on the surface. Do not use any aggressive chemical cleaners that could damage the sticker.
It is normal for white smoke to emerge from the silencer when the exhaust system is first used! Finally, check for leaks in the whole
exhaust system.
Do not stand behind the exhaust system when first operated!
Maintaining the Akrapovic exhaust system
Clean with a multi-purpose lubricant spray (Motorex Joker 440).
A change of color of the exhaust system is normal due to high temperatures.
Wear and tear to the sound insulation material of the silencer depends on the type of engine and your driving style. Contact your dealer
if there are visible changes to the exterior of the silencer or the noise level is raised. Check regularly that all screws are tight and the
springs are correctly seated.
