Cleaning and Applying Detergent
CAUTION
Chemicals can cause bodily injury, and/or property
damage.
NEVER usecausticliquidwith pressure washer.
UseONLYpressure washersafedetergents/soaps. Followall
manufacturers instructions.
Toapplydetergent folJow thesesteps:
1.
Review ProjectPro
TM
nozzle and HydroFoam
TM
launcher
use.
2.
Prepare HydroFoam
TM
wash according to instructions on
the bottle.
3.
Pour detergent into cleaning tank.
NOTE:The cleaning tank holds one gallon.
4.
Make sure HyrdoFoam
TM
Launcher is installed.
NOTE:Detergentcannot be applied with the high pressure
nozzles (Yellow, Orange or Red).
5.
Make sure garden hose is connected to water inlet.
Checkthat high pressure hose is connected to spray gun
and pump. Turn on water.
NOTICE
You must attach all hoses before __
Startingthe enginewithoutall the hosesconnected and
withoutthe waterturnedONwill damage the pump.

6.
Engagetrigger lock on spray gun and start engine
following instructions "How to Start Your Pressure
Washer".
7.
Rotate detergent shut-off valve on cleaning tank to "On"
position.

8.
Apply HydroFoam
TM
wash to a dry surface, starting at
lower portion of area to be washed and work upward,
using long, even, overlapping strokes.
NOTE:To prevent water spotting on vehicles, work in a
shaded area and allow surfaces to cool before beginning.
9.
Allow HydroFoam
TM
wash to soak in between
3-5 minutes before washing and rinsing. Reapply as
neededto prevent surface from drying. DO NOT allow
HydroFoam
TM
wash to dry on (prevents streaking).
For best results, scrub the HydroFoam
TM
wash covered
surface to help remove stubborn dirt, grime and stains. For
vehicles, use a soft car wash brush or mitt. For decking,
siding and concrete, use a brush appropriate for the type of
surface being cleaned.
Pressure Washer Rinsing
AfterHydreFoam
TM
washis applied, scourthe surfaceand rinse
it clean as follows:
1.
Engagetrigger lock on spray gun.
2.
Make sure detergent shut-off valve is in "Off" position.
3.
Remove HyrdoFoam
TM
Launcherfrom nozzle extension.
4.
Select and install desired ProjectPro
TM
nozzle,as
described in "How to Use ProjectPro
TM
NozzleSystem".
5.
Keepspray gun a safe distance from spray surface.
WARNING
spray gun can cause you

o Operate pressure washerfrom a stablesurface.
o Beextremely carefulif you mustusethe pressure washerfrom
a ladder,scaffolding,or anyothersimilarlocation.
o Firmlygraspspraygunwith both handswhen usinghigh
pressuresprayto avoidinjury whenspraygun kicks back.
6.
Apply a high pressure spray to a small area and then
check the surface for damage. If no damage, proceed to
step 7.
7.
Start at top of area to be rinsed, working down with
same overlapping strokes used for cleaning.
Automatic Cool Down System (Thermal Relief)
If you run the engine on your pressure washer for
3-5 minutes without pressing the trigger on the spray gun,
circulating water in the pump can reach temperatures above
125°F. The system engagesto cool the pump by discharging
the warm water ontothe ground.
