The PTO shaft drive can be turned off using the dead man handle.
Releasing the dead man handle switches off the PTO shaft drive and stops the machine.
If the dead man handle is not actuated, the immobilisation brake is activated.
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over, run them
over, crush or lacerate them.
•
The dead man handle is part of the safety system, never bypass it.
•
It is essential that the function of the dead man handle is checked before commencing
work.
•
Any defects in the safety system must be remedied immediately after detection.
•
It is forbidden to work with a defective or bypassed safety system.
The PTO drive is activated and deactivated by means of the PTO shaft switch.
The PTO shaft is activated by pressing the "PTO shaft symbol" on the toggle switch. The
PTO shaft is deactivated by pressing the side of the toggle switch "without symbols".
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over, run them
over, crush or lacerate them.
•
Before activating the PTO shaft drive, make sure that is no-one in the danger zone.
The accelerator lever is used to adjust the engine speed or stop the engine.
By turning the lever upwards, the engine speed is increased, and reduced when turning it
downwards. The engine is stopped by turning the accelerator lever down and bypassing the
idling position.
If an electric starter is used, the engine cannot be stopped with the accelerator lever.
The height of the operating handlebar can be adjusted using the handlebar height
adjustment lever.
The safety catch of the lever is released by moving it outwards. The handlebar can be
adjusted to the desired position by moving it upwards. Then move the lever back to its
original position.
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over or run
them over.
•
The handlebar height must not be adjusted during travel.
