WARNING: All users of the Freefly VR headset should read these instructions carefully before using
the headset. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury. Save these instructions.
Suitability
Virtual reality is not suitable for everyone. Use of virtual reality equipment can cause dizziness, diso-
rientation and other symptoms. If you have any doubt whether it is safe for you to use virtual reality
products, please consult your doctor.
In general, use of the Freefly VR is NOT SUITABLE for those who are pregnant, have high blood
pressure, suffer from motion sickness, inner ear infections or claustrophobia, had any form of recent
surgery, pre-existing binocular vision abnormalities, heart conditions, psychosis or epileptic symp-
toms or attacks or any other physiological or psychological disorder which may trigger any dangerous
emotions, behaviour or attacks resulting in structural damage, physical damage or death.
You should CONSULT A DOCTOR before using the Freefly VR if:
You have ever had, or currently live with, symptoms of epilepsy such as severe dizziness, blackouts,
seizures or loss of awareness should see a doctor before using the Freefly VR. The content viewed
through the Freefly VR may include flashing images and repetitive sequences, which could cause
seizures, even in those who have never experienced seizures in the past; or if you wear an implanted
medical device such as a pacemaker, as the smartphone used inside may emit radio waves which
could interfere with the normal operations of such devices.
Minors
It is the responsibility of an adult supervisor to monitor use of the Freefly VR by children (age 14-18).
The Freefly VR is not recommended for use below the age of 14 due to possible impacts on hand-eye
coordination, balance and multi-tasking ability. The Freefly VR has a number of small parts held in
place by 6 screws. Ensure that these are not loosened or undone so that the small parts present a
choking hazard for young children.
The user should NOT take the product apart and we bear no responsibility for liability nor product
guarantee if user undoes the screws.
Safe Use
When using the Freefly VR, your vision is 100% obscured and when using headphones, your capacity
to hear what is happening in your surroundings is reduced. Therefore, it is your responsibility to
ensure you use the Freefly VR in a safe secure environment free of nearby obstructions. We recom-
mend using the Freefly VR in an office chair which can freely rotate 360 degrees.
For your safety, when using the Freefly VR, DO NOT:
Use in environments that may need your immediate attention;
Use in the proximity of small children.
Safe Use: English
When using the Freefly VR, DO:
Remain seated at all times;
Use the Freefly VR indoors only;
Use in an open space, where there are no potentially dangerous items such as sharp objects, balco-
nies, stairwells and furnishings that are easy to break;
Take a 5 minute break every 5 minutes by removing the headset;
Allow for a minimum of 30 minutes after using the Freefly VR before operating any machinery or
driving any vehicle;
Keep the volume of your headphones at a safe level. Prolonged periods of loud noise can lead to ear
damage including reduced or loss of hearing and tinnitus;
Ensure your smartphone is aligned correctly by following the alignment process on the app. To avoid
visual conflict and visually triggered symptoms such as headaches and nausea; and
Keep the Freefly VR away from direct sunlight, to avoid a fire hazard caused by the lenses.
DO STOP using the Freefly VR immediately if you experience: seizures; loss of awareness; eye strain;
eye or muscle twitching; involuntary movements; altered, blurred, or double vision or other visual
abnormalities; dizziness; disorientation; impaired balance; impaired hand-eye coordination; exces-
sive sweating; increased salivation; nausea; lightheadedness; discomfort or pain in the head or eyes;
drowsiness; fatigue; or any symptoms similar to motion sickness.
DO NOT drive, operate machinery, or engage in other visually or physically demanding activities that
have potentially serious consequences (i.e., activities in which experiencing any symptoms could
lead to death, personal injury, or damage to property), or other activities that require unimpaired
balance and hand-eye coordination (such as playing sports or riding a bicycle, etc.) until you have
fully recovered from any symptoms.
DO NOT in any circumstances use the Freefly VR if you are under the influence of drugs including
alcohol; suffering the after effects of using drugs including alcohol; suffering a gastric illness or vi-
rus; suffering from stress or are over-tired; or any other physiological or psychological disorder which
may trigger any dangerous emotions, behaviour or attacks resulting in structural damage, physical
damage or death.
Software
With the exception of Freefly VR produced content, Proteus VR Labs Ltd/LLC accepts no respon-
sibility for risk associated with smartphones, tablets or phablets or any connecting audio devices
or controllers or other peripheral devices used in combination with the Freefly VR. Freefly VR also
accepts no responsibility for third party content, either downloaded directly from a publisher's portal
or their distribution portal, linked to from the Freefly VR website or a direct download from the
Freefly VR website.

By downloading and purchasing Freefly VR produced content you accept the following:
You are of a suitable age to view the content based on the age rating it has been awarded. That
