On the side of the mowing deck, lift the mulch plug. See

Insert the top of the chute into the opening of the grass

Pivot the chute towards the mowing deck and over the
opening in the side of the mowing deck. See (b) in Figure 9.

ASSEMBLY
5.
Secure the chute to the mowing deck using the wing knob
included in the lawn mower manual bag. Thread the wing
knob onto the deck stud. Hand tighten to secure the discharge
chute. See inset in Figure 10.
NOTE:
On units with caster wheels, you may need to pivot the front
wheel to the side to attach the wing knob.

Open the rear discharge door using the door handle.
