Before performing any type of maintenance/service, disengage all controls
and stop the engine. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete
stop. Disconnect spark plug wire and ground it against the engine to
prevent unintended starting.

The warranty on this lawn mower attachment does not cover items that
have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full value
from warranty operator must maintain the equipment as instructed in this
manual, the lawn mower operator's manual, and the engine operator's
manual.

All adjustments should be checked at least once each season.
•
Periodically check all fasteners and make sure these are tight.
Engine Maintenance
Refer to the Engine Operator's Manual packed with your mower for a detailed
description of all engine-related service specifications.
Change Engine Oil With Bagger Equipped
If the engine has been recently run, the engine, muffler and surrounding
metal surfaces will be hot and can cause burns to the skin. Exercise caution
to avoid burns.
Refer to the Engine Operator's Manual for specific oil change intervals.

on how to perform many of the following maintenance items.

Remove the bag from the rear bracket following the instructions in the
assembly section of this manual. Let the bagger door close, remove the end
of the oil drain hose from its place on the deck and pass it through the hole
on the left side of the rear bracket. See Figure 17.

Position the end of the hose over an appropriate oil collection container of at
least 20 ounce capacity to collect the used oil.
