How to operate your RECARO seat
6. Adjusting the distance of the seat
from the pedals

There are two possibilities here, depending
on the vehicle type in question. Your
RECARO seat has been fitted with either a
RECARO adapter and the standard seat
rails or with a RECARO base frame and
RECARO seat rails.
Risk of pinching
Adjusting the length of the seat
changes the amount of space requir-
ed. Ensure that no-one reaches into
the area where adjustment is taking
place or puts their feet under the seat
or near the seat rails.

In this case, you can move your RECARO
seat forward and back in exactly the same
way as with a standard seat. If in doubt,
please refer to the operating instructions for
your vehicle.

In this case, adjust your RECARO seat
using the adjustment bar.
To release the seat locking mechanism, lift
the adjustment bar so that the seat can be
pushed forward or back. Release the
adjustment bar once you have reached the
desired position. Make sure that the seat
audibly engages on both sides and that the
adjustment bar returns to its original
position.
Electrical
If electrical length adjustment is available in
the vehicle as standard or is offered as an
option from RECARO, it can be operated
with the switch.

To decrease the distance to the pedals,
press the switch forward in the direction of
travel. To increase the distance, press the
switch opposite the direction of travel.

7. RECARO vent

Press the action point of the switch to
switch on the ventilation. Press the switch
in the opposite direction to switch off.
Risk of injury
The seatback of a seat with RECARO
®
vent has ventilation slits on the back.
Take special care to ensure that
children do not grab hold of this vent.
Ensure that it
blocked.
Notes!
If the ventilation system of the RECARO
®
vent is damaged, a draught in the area
of the kidneys can result.
Therefore, do not place any sharp or
heavy objects on the seat or stand or
kneel on the seat.
Do not use decorative covers or other
coverings for your seat which are not
expressly permitted for use with a
RECARO seat with RECARO vent
Proper functioning of the RECARO
®
vent is no longer ensured if impermis-
sible covers are used. In the worst case
scenario, the ventilation system would
be permanently damaged.
