• Where appropriate, check the condition of the grindstones and replace them where
necessary.
• Check that the dose measurer is properly in place and also the lid.
• Check that the coffee outlet conduit is not blocked (remove the lid and use the brush).
• After having made all these checks, put the On/Off switch (11) to the 0 position, then to
the 1 position. In all events, the coffee grinder should start again.
The machine stops as a result of motor over-heating (the motor unit is hot):
If the motor should heat up abnormally before the pre-programmed time has run out, as the
motor is protected by integral thermal protection, the motor stops.
• Check that there are still coffee beans in the bean container (2).
• Put the On / Off switch (11) to the 0 position and unplug the mains power supply lead (10).
Wait for the motor to cool down (20 to 45 minutes), plug the power supply lead (10) back in
and then press the On / Off switch (11) (position 1).
The machine stops as a result of an overload:
A foreign body between the grindstones, the grindstones coming into contact, too fine coffee
grinding or intensive operation may result in motor overload.
Under these circumstances, the No. 60 grinder current overload protection may be activated
and stop the operation of the machine.
If the machine is abnormally hot, refer to the section "The machine stops as a result of motor
over-heating".
Otherwise:
Turn the electric power supply off, unplug the mains power supply lead (10), and refer to the
section "changing the grindstones" to remove the foreign body or to clean the grindstones and
resolve the motor overheating problem.
Move the On / Off switch (11) to the 0 position and then to the 1 position. In all events, the
No. 60 coffee grinder should start again.
The machine stops a few minutes after starting:
• Check all the electrical components, start capacitor (15), electronic card (13), dose
measurer presence sensor (27), coffee filling level sensor (28), and mains power supply
lead (10).
The ground coffee dose measurement is not consistent:
• Check that there are coffee beans in the bean container (2)
• Check that there are coffee grindings in the dose measurer
• Clean the coffee dose measurer.
• Check the dose measurement drawing handle is operating properly. Clean where
necessary.
The ground coffee gets jammed in the grinding body conduit:
• The machine has perhaps been subjected to a vertical shock (e.g.: during transport);
remove the dose measurer lid (24) and check that the conduit (23) located between the
grinding body outlet (5) and the dose measurer support plate (26) has not come out of its
housing (fig. D and fig. E).
