1. Slide the DIN cage into the radio
housing and secure by bending the
metal locking outward.
2. Slide the aftermarket head unit into
the cage until secure. (Figure A)
3. Locate the factory wiring harness in
the dash. Metra recommends using
the proper mating adapter from Metra
or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative
battery terminal and test the unit for
proper operation.
4. Ford, Lincoln, Mercury:
Mount the head unit/kit assembly
to the sub-dash with the (4) screws
previously removed. (Figure B)
Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Eagle,
Jeep (excluding Grand Cherokee
1993-1995, Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze,
Sebring, Avenger):
Mount the head unit/kit assembly
to the sub-dash with the (2) 3/8"
hex-head screws previously removed.

(1) Remove the top-left screw from
the metal dash housing. (Figure F)
(2) Mount the head unit/kit assembly
to the sub-dash with the (2) screws
previously removed. (Figure F)
(3) Replace the metal housing screw
through the top support spacer.
5. Reassemble dash in reverse order
of disassembly.
