WARNING: Carry out the installation in a "workmanlike" manner, strictly following the installation instructions
and using suitable tools. Always consult your local building department for code requirements that must be
respected depending on its destination of use (private, secondary, public...).
Before starting with assembly, unpack all the parts of the staircase. Arrange them on a large surface and
check the number of parts against the attached parts list.
Preliminary assembly
1. Assemble the parts 001010 on the treads 103012 (Fig. 1).
2. Carefully measure the floor-to-floor height to determine the number of spacer rings 131030 or
131031. Use TAB.2 to determine the number of spacer rings 131030 or 131031 required for
staircases with spacers D78 (metal) or TAB. 3 for staircases with spacers D79 (wood) (H = height, A
= rise).
Example: for a measured floor-to-floor height of 298cm and a staircase with 13 treads and spacers
D78, you need to consult TAB. 2:
a) Read the number of spacer rings required in column H in correspondence to the height of 298 cm,
i.e. 40 spacer rings in column A/13.
b) One at a time and in sequence distribute the spacer rings on all the spacers D78 (above and
below) until they have all been used up (keep the alignment with the point of injection on the visible
edge to improve aesthetics). Up to a maximum of 3 spacer rings can be inserted on the 1st spacer
D78. Up to a maximum of 5 spacer rings can be inserted on the remaining spacers D78. The final
result is 3 spacer rings on the 1st spacer D78 (2 above and 1 below), 4 spacer rings on the 2nd
spacer D78 (2 above and 2 below), 3 spacer rings on the eleven remaining spacers (2 above and 1
below).
3. Assemble parts F35 and CB3 on the baluster 127012 using parts 001027, 001028 and C79 (Fig. 1).
Cutting the top landing
4. To define and trace the cutting line of the round landing (Fig. 3), operate as follows:
1) Carefully measure the floor opening.
2) Calculate the centre of the floor opening.
3) Trace the shape of the circular opening in proximity of the landing point on a piece of the packaging
cardboard; cut the cardboard and position it symmetrically on the lower part (underside) of the landing
at a distance with respect to the centre equal to half the opening previously measured.
5. To define and trace the cutting lines of triangular or trapezoidal landings (Fig. 4), operate as follows:
1) Carefully measure the floor opening.
2) Calculate the centre of the floor opening.
3) Trace the cutting lines parallel to the existing edges on the lower part (underside) of the landing at
a distance with respect to the centre equal to half the opening previously measured.
6. Cut the landing with the muley saw, taking the utmost care not to chip the floor; sand off any
imperfections on the edge with sandpaper and protect with the wood stain provided.
Assembly
7. Determine the position of the central pole on the floor in relation to the dimensions of the previously
cut landing and then fit the base 023012 (Fig. 2).
8. Drill a hole using a 14mm Ø bit and fasten the base 023012+012009+022001 to the floor using
parts 008001 (Fig. 1).
9. Screw the tube 042013 onto the base 023012+012009+022001 (Fig. 1).
10. Fit the base cover 132017 or 132018 on the tube 042013 (Fig. 8).
11. Fit the parts in the following order: spacer D78 or D79, spacer rings 131030 or 131031, the first
tread 103008 with the wooden slats parallel to the pre-established ascending side (Fig. 7/A), spacer
D78 or D79, spacer rings 131030 and 131031, the second tread 103008 with the wooden slats
parallel to the pre-established ascending side, and so on. Arrange the treads alternately on the right
and left so that the weight is evenly distributed (Fig. 8).
