COFFEE GRINDER N° 43
• Coffee grinder N° 43 is for shops and coffee roasters wanting to obtain 250 g to 1 kg of freshly ground coffee.
• Coffee grinder N° 43 enables ground coffee to be dispensed in bags of 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg.
• The appliance has an aluminium cast base and a housing in 18/10 stainless steel plate serving as a support to the
grinding unit and the hopper.
• The hopper is made of very resistant polycarbonate and has a capacity of 1.7 kg, it is fitted with a hinged lid.
• A knob to select the fineness of grinding allows all types of coffee grinding (finely ground coffee, espresso, filter,
medium or course).
• The grinding discs in fully-hardened special steel (63.5 mm diameter) guarantee long-lasting consistency in the quality
of grinding. They are easily dismantled when worn out.
USING THE MACHINE
SWITCHING ON AND OFF :
The coffee grinder is switched on and off by a luminous clad switch, ref. (9), located on the upper face of the housing.
SELECTING GRINDING :
• A selection knob, ref. (6), enables the user to obtain the desired fineness of grinding, by bringing the grinding discs
closer together.
• To obtain finer grinding turn the selection knob ref. (6) in anti-clockwise direction.
To obtain coarser grinding turn the knob in clockwise direction. A set pointer ref. (4) enables you to locate on a graded
scale ref. (7), the setting position desired. This setting can be reset after each change of grinding discs using the set
pointer (4) and the locking screw ref. (15).
If the grinding discs are to be changed, see the paragraph on "Servicing".
WARNING : Do not let the grinding discs touch each other, at the risk of damaging them. Letting
them touch causes the ground coffee to jam (coating of discs), causing the motor to stop.
MOTOR OVERLOAD SAFETY DEVICE :
• Disconnect the appliance from power supply (disconnect the power supply cable plug before any type of servicing).
• In the event of motor stalling (foreign body in the coffee, too fine grinding or too close setting of grinding discs, etc.)
protection against overload is provided by a manually reset thermal circuit breaker. In this case look for the
cause of stalling, right it, wait a moment, reset the thermal circuit breaker using the button, ref. (12), located
underneath the appliance, reconnect the plug of the appliance, place the luminous clad switch ref. (9) to on position
(indicator light on) to check that the motor works off-load. Put a few coffee beans in the hopper to check that the motor
also works with load and proceed with any adjustment of grinding.
