Always check your helmet before every ride!
1. Check the Face Shield and sun visor.
2. Check the correct function of the shield and visor mechanics.
3. Check for cracks in the helmet. Strong acid (e.g. battery acid) can damage the shield
bases. If you find cracks or damage, stop using the helmet immediately.
4. Check helmet for deterioration. If you find deterioration in any part of a component,
either replace that component or get a new helmet. If these parts come loose and/or
fall off while you are riding, your vision may be blocked, which could cause an accident
resulting in serious personal injury or death.
5. Check the security of the retention system.
Don't mistreat your helmet!
Never ride with the helmet hanging from the helmet holder, and do not hang the
helmet from angled supports such as a mirror. Do not sit on or throw your helmet. You
should not expose the liner of your helmet to strong sunlight and excessive heat such
as near heaters or where temperatures exceed 50 °C (122 °F). Avoid spraying insect
repellent chemicals (such as „naphthalene") near the helmet. Mistreating your helmet
will damage the shell and impact absorbing liner, reducing the helmet's ability to protect
you in an accident.
Don't use the helmet for anything than motorcycling!
No helmet provides absolute protection from all conceivable impacts. This helmet
has been specially developed for motorcycle riding. It may not be suitable for other
purposes.
Replace the helmet after no more than five years!
The useful life of the helmet depends on its use and care. We recommend that this
helmet has to be replaced after no more than five years from its date of purchase.
Never use the helmet with the lining removed!
If the lining is not installed before use, the helmet may not fit properly and could come
off in an accident, resulting in severe head injury or death. Excessive heat (e.g. exhaust
heat) can cause damage tographics, the inner shell of the helmet and the interior lining!
Never modify your helmet!
It is very dangerous to drill holes or to cut the shell and/or the shock absorbing liner.
Modification can seriously weaken the helmet. Modifying the retention system weakens
it, increasing the likelihood of snapping during impact. Removing parts such as the
mouth guard or rubber face molding can expose edges that may injure you in an
accident. Always use approved SCHUBERTH parts when replacing shields, screws,
or any other parts. A weakened helmet will not provide head protection.
Do not repaint the helmet!
Repainting of your helmet is not recommended. Certain types of paint and thinner can
damage the helmet and reduce its ability to provide head protection in an accident.

Avoid direct contact with aggressive substances!
The direct effect of motor fuels, thinners or solvents can destroy the structure of the
inner and outer shell. Make sure the helmet does not come into contact with such
substances, even for cleaning purposes!
Clean your helmet carefully!
Safety Advice concerning the faceshield / sun visor
Keep your helmet (faceshield and sun visor) in good condition!
If your faceshield or sun visor become too scratched or uncleanable, replace it with a
new one. Impaired visibility causes accidents. Clean your faceshield and sun visor only
with mild soap diluted in tap water. Rinse well with clean tap water, and dry with a soft
cloth. Never use benzene, gasoline, glass cleaner or any other solvents. Do not attach
stickers or adhesive tape to the faceshields and sun visor, as this will weaken the hard
coating, damaging them. Do not drive with a dim or blurred shield. Impaired vision can
cause an accident resulting in serious personal injury or death.
Remove protective film before using the helmet!
The protective film fastened to the faceshield to protect it from scratches in transit
must be removed before use.
Keep the helmet away from aggressive substances.
Motor fuel and solvent vapor can cause the faceshield and sun visor to crack. Keep the
faceshield and sun visor away from such vapors and do not allow kinds of substances
to come into direct contact with the faceshield or sun visor! For thatreason, never
place the helmet on the tank of your motorcycle. Removing parts such as the mouth
guard or rubber face molding can expose edges that may injure you in an accident.
Always use approved SCHUBERTH parts when replacing shields, screws, or any other
parts. A weakened helmet will not provide head protection.
Don't ride when visibility is poor!
Make sure the faceshield and sun visor are always in perfect condition.
If for any reason, the visibility is poor, don`t ride.
Don't ride with a fogged up faceshield.
Never try to manually clean a fogged up faceshield while riding, this could cause an
accident resulting in serious personal injury or death. In light stages of misting you may
either open the chin ventilation or the faceshield to the town position. If the fogging is
not immediately reduced stop your ride.
