5. Put the Drain Spillway (J) onto the top of the Reactor Column Cover (H).
6. Slip the Filter Sock (M) through the Drain Spillway (J).
7. Put the Check Valve ball (01) into the hole in Support Base (A) as shown in Figure 2
8. Position the Primary Pump (K) over the hole in Support Base (A) as shown in Figure 2.
9. Turn the compression ring of the Primary Pump (K) clockwise to secure it onto the Support Base
(A).
10. Put the Check Valve ball (02) into the hole in Support Base (A) as shown in Figure 2.
11. Position the Secondary Pump (L) over the hole in Support Base (A) as shown in Figure 2.
To setup your element™ Z Reactor to add aeration to the wash feature:
1. Insert Venturi (N) into Secondary Pump (L) as shown in Figure 2.
2. Attach one end of Tubing (P) to Venturi (N) and position the other end of the tubing above water
level in order to pull in air during a wash cycle.
Installation
The design of the element™ Z Reactor offers various positioning options to optimize space by rotating
the Drain Spillway (J).
While the element™ Z Reactor is not affected by changes in water level, it is necessary to maintain a
level of at least the ~MIN~ waterline mark on the Reactor Column (E).
1. Make certain that the aquarium's sump is at its appropriate water level first.
2. Place the element™ Z Reactor inside of the aquarium system's sump in an accessible and
convenient position for regular maintenance and cleaning and also preferably near where water
comes into the sump from the aquarium.
3. Orient the Drain Spillway (J) such that it flows away from the Primary Pump (K) and Secondary
Pump (L).
Filling the Reactor Chamber
1. To prepare and fill the Reactor Chamber (F), remove the Reactor Column Cover (H) by
releasing the Locking Ring (B2) and lifting off the cover.
2. Remove the Reactor Chamber (F) from the Reactor Column (E) by pulling up on the
Threaded Rod (I).
