remove tow hooks from each frame rail
and return hooks and fasteners to
vehicle owner if the hitch can not be
installed with tow hook.

Note: Requires removal or trimming of Front air dam for hitch installation. Obtain owner permission before trimming.
1.
Remove tow hooks if present, keep for re-installment . Return hardware to owners.
2.
Use reverse pull wire procedure. See Figure 2. To install carriage bolt (1) and spacer (2) in frame rail. See Figure 2. Leave pull wire attached.
3.
Reinstalling tow hook - Recommend taping spacer (9) to tow hook-install forward fastener. Install fasteners (10 & 5) through tow hook, then return tow hook to original position in
bumper slot and loosely tighten in place. Both sides. See Figure 3.
4.
Raise side bracket (Note: bracket specific to each side. See Figure 1) to frame rail and under tow hook. Feed existing pull wire through hole and secure with carriage bolt. Feed lock washer (3)
over pull wire, using the washer to hold the bolt in place remove the pull wires and attach the hex nut(4). Hand tighten both sides

Install remaining M12 bolt (5) through tow hook and bracket. Both sides. Do not completely tighten.
6.
Raise center-section of hitch into position and install fasteners as shown using the carriage bolt(6), lock washer(7), and hex nut(8). Both sides.
7.
Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 86 Lb.-Ft. (115 N*M), tighten 7/16-14 GR5 carriage bolts to 50Lb.-Ft.(68 N*M), and ½-13 carriage bolt to 75 Lb.-Ft.(102 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
8.
Reinstall air dam if trimmed. See figure 4. Obtain permission or return to owner.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or
ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
