Note
The three installation holes -1- must be drilled in the positions marked -2- on the inside of the bumper cover (see
exploded view)
Punch the centre-point of the three positions and pre-drill with the drill -3- from the assembly tool for PDC holder
-VAS 6614- from the inside to the outside.

Installation holes with a diameter of 18.2 mm are required for the two outside sensors. An installation hole with a
diameter of 26 mm is required for the middle sensor. Suitable screw punches are part of the assembly tool for PDC
holder -VAS 6614-.
Place the screw punch ∅ 18.2 mm with a screw -1-, washer -2- and counter bearing -3- from the inside of the
bumper cover -5- on one of the two outside pre-drilled holes.
Screw on puncher -4- and tighten screw -1-.
Note
The puncher -4- may not be turned on the bumper cover paint.
Pull the puncher -4- by turning the screw -1- through the material of the bumper cover -5- -arrows-.
Repeat the steps with the screw punch ∅ 18.2 mm on the second outside pre-drilled hole.
Repeat the steps with the screw punch ∅ 26 mm from the assembly tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614- on the middle
pre-drilled hole.
Clean the inside of the bumper cover thoroughly with cleaning solution D 009 401 04.

Push the left sensor holder -2- (1S0 919 491) onto the centring mandrel ∅ 18.2 mm -1- from the assembly tool for
PDC holder -VAS 6614-.
Remove the protective film -3-.
Feed the centring mandrel -1- through the left installation hole in the bumper cover -4- until the holder -2- lies flat.
Press the holder -2- firmly down in the area of the bonding surfaces -3-.
Remove the centring mandrel and repeat the steps with the right sensor holder (1S0 919 492).
Note
The holder for the middle sensor is aligned without the centring mandrel due to its external form. When doing this
attention should be paid that the wiring outlet of the sensor points on the left according to the direction of travel (see
exploded view).
Remove the protective film from the middle sensor holder (1S0 919 491 A), align the holder and press down firmly
in the area of the bonding surfaces.

Slide the isolating rings onto the sensors and clip the sensors -1- into the holders until the retaining tabs -2- engage
audibly.

Clip the coupling point -6- of the supplied bumper wiring harness -3- down on the left of the bumper cover -1-.
Position and connect the bumper wiring harness -3- to the sensors -5-, -4- and -2-.
Use the socket cable ties -arrows- to secure the bumper power harness -3- to the bumper cover.
