4.3 Error Indications
The soldering station will display various error indicators in case of any problem.
Sensor error: If any part of the sensor or its circuit fails, the window displays the "S-E" indicator and the current supplied to
the soldering iron is cut off.
Heating element error: If the soldering station cannot supply power to the heating element, the window displays the "H-E"
indicator, indicating that the heating core may be damaged.
4.4 Fault Detection and Replacement
When the soldering iron fails, do inspection to identify the damaged component before replacement.
4.4.1 Inspection of handle assembly(by disassembling handle)
1) Turn off the power switch of the soldering station and pull out the power plug. Unplug the plug of the soldering iron handle wire
from the soldering station and wait until the soldering iron is cooled down before disassembly.
2) Unscrew the handle lock nut. Pull the soldering bit out from the handle with a heat insulation pad. Do not use metal tools(such as
pliers).
3) Demount the handle jacket along the direction of the handle wire, unscrew the set screw, remove the handle, and then remove the
handle shell along the direction of the handle wire to expose the heating element and the terminal block.
