IMPORTANT
Remember that while operating the machine the cleaning selector must be set to 0, otherwise the
machine won't work properly.
If the cleaning selector switch is in position 1, the machine will operate only whith the 1st bowl's
speed, regardless whether the bowl cover has been lifted or not.
5-MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
The AS-40 Cutter has been built to reduce maintenance to almost to zero, however the following
precautions must be observed:
1.- If the cutter does'nt have enough power, tighten the motor belt (50), to do so use the screw (54) and
the nut (55).
2.- Remove the blades holder (23) and put non-toxic grease on the holder's back face, to avoid water
infiltration inside the bearings. It is recommended to perform this operation approx. Every 15 days.
3- Across the grease nipple lubricate the spindel's bearings, it's recommended to perform this operation
once a month.
4.- The bowl's speed reducer is oiled for life, so it does'nt require any maintenance.
6-REMOVING THE BLADES
To remove the cutting blades proceed as described bellow:
Insert the spanner (44) into the hexagon of the blades holder (23), whith the spanner (29) and by turning
clockwise loosen the nut (15). Then remove the blades. To mount back the blades follow the same steps
as described before, but in the opposite order. It is VERY IMPORTANT to replace the blades exactly in the
same position they had before. Blades ends must be in the same radius, otherwise vibrations may occur
and damage seriously the head's bearings.
