you ordered. Once the machine unpacked please read the instructions manual carefully and follow the
procedure described bellow:
1.- Make sure that the personnel affected to the installation of the Cutter is fully qualified for this type of
operation.
2.- Make sure that the voltage of your premises matches the one required by the cutter.
3.- Make sure that all the cutter's components are in the right place and that they haven't been moved
because of transportation.
2-CONNECTING TO THE ELECTRICAL POWER AND CHANGING THE VOLTAGE
Before connecting the machine to the electrical power, please ensure that the charecteristiques of the
electrical system in your premises, matche the ones indicated in the machine's identification plate.
Please know that the Cutter operates only with one voltage. If the cutter's voltage needs to be changed

can suffer serious damages, in this case TALLERES RAMÓN, S.L. will not accept any responsability.
FLEXIBLE CONNECTION
For safety reasons, the Cutter must be connected to the ground. If for any reason there is no ground
connection available in your premises, a 10A differential switch, with a maximum sensitivity of 15mA must
be installed.
If the Cutter is supplied by a fixed electrical power line, this last one must have a 750 VAT wires with a
double layer of insulation. If the Cutter is supplied by a power line not fixed, this last one must have a 1000
VAC wires.
Before switching on the machine, make sure that you installed it properly and that all the safety devices
are attached to the cutter. Carry out overload tests and wire insulation tests to ensure that the machine is
safe for the operator.
3-TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AS-40 CUTTER
The AS-40 Cutter is entirely made of stainless steel, and is equipped with one motor which operates with
two different speeds. Thanks to a speed reducer the blades can rotate with a speed that can be set to
1500 rpm or 3000 rpm, and this as required. The bowl rotates with a speed that can be set to 12 rpm or 24
rpm. The Cutter can work with a set of 3 blades or a set of 6 blades. The inside structure of the machine is
very solid, therefore the cutter is vibrationsproof.
The machine has been designed in such a way, that it is easy to clean and practically maintenance free.
The Cutter meets all the EEC safety Standards and which are the ones described bellow:
- If the electrical power is cut, the machine won't start over, unexpectedly, when the electrical supply is
restored.
- The Cutter's electrical control system operates with 24V.
- The motor which controls the blades, is equipped with an electrical brake, which can stop the blades'
rotation in less than 4 seconds, if the emergency stop button is actioned or if the cover is lifted up.
4-STARTING AND OPERATING THE CUTTER
Once the cutter unpacked, install the 4 silentblocks (100) and level the machine by adjusting them. Check
the blades' and the bowl's rotation direction. The blades should rotate clockwise and the bowl, anti-
clockwise. If it's not the case, shift two phases, in the plug.
Make sure that all the pushing buttons operate properly.
