SAnitizAtion, DiSinFeCtion AnD SteriLizAtion oF tHe ACCeSSorieS
We recommend a personal use of both the nebulizer and accessories to avoid any risk of infection or contagion.
Open the nebulizer by turning the top (C1.3) counterclockwise, then remove the nozzle from the top (C1.3),
and disassemble it as shown in the "Connection Diagram" section C1.
SAnitizAtion
Before and after each use, sanitize the nebulizer and accessories according to one of the methods described
below.
(method A): the accessories that can be sanitized with the method A are (C1.1-C1.2-C1.3-C1.4-C2-C3-C4)
Sanitize the accessories in warm (approximately 40° C) drinking water with mild dishwashing liquid (non
abrasive) or in the dishwasher with hot cycle
(method B): the accessories that can be sanitized with the method B are (C1.1-C1.2-C1.3-C1.4-C2-C3-C4)
Sanitize the accessories by immersion in a solution consisting of 60% water and 40% white vinegar. Finally
rinse thoroughly with warm (approximately 40° C) drinking water.
(method C): the accessories that can be sanitized with the method C are (C1.1-C1.2-C1.3-C1.4-C2)
Sanitize the accessories by boiling in water for 20 minutes; preferably use of demineralized or distilled water
to avoid scale deposits.
After sanitization shake the accessories vigorously and place them on a paper towel, or alternatively, dry
them with a jet of hot air (e.g. using a hair dryer).
DiSinFeCtion
the accessories that can be disinfected are (C1.1-C1.2-C1.3-C1.4-C2-C3-C4)
The disinfection procedure described in this paragraph is to be performed before using the accessories and is
effective only if all the prescriptions herein are met and all the components involved are previously sanitized.
The disinfectant to be used must be of electrolytic oxidizing chlorine type, (active ingredient: sodium
hypochlorite), specific for disinfection and is available in all pharmacies.
Procedure:
- Fill a container, suitable to contain all the individual components to be disinfected, with a solution of drinking
water and disinfectant, while respecting the proportions indicated on the packaging of the disinfectant itself.
- Completely immerse each individual component in the solution, taking care to avoid the formation of air
bubbles in contact with the components. Leave the components immersed for the period of time indicated
on the packaging of the disinfectant, and associated with the concentration chosen to prepare the solution.
- Remove the components now disinfected and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm drinking water.
- After disinfection shake the accessories vigorously and place them on a paper towel, or alternatively, dry
them with a jet of hot air (e.g. using a hair dryer).
- Dispose of the solution as recommended by the disinfectant manufacturer.
SteriLizAtion
the accessories that can be sterilized are (C1.1-C1.2-C1.3-C1.4-C2)
The sterilization procedure described in this paragraph is effective only if all the prescriptions herein are met,
all the components involved are previously sanitized and the procedure itself is validated according to ISO
17665-1 standard.
Unit: Steam sterilizer with fractionated vacuum and overpressure according to EN 13060 standard.
procedure: Package each component to be treated in sterile barrier system or packaging complying with EN
11607 standard. Place the packed components in the steam sterilizer.
Run the sterilization cycle according to the instructions manual of the device, selecting a temperature of 134°
C and a duration of 10 minutes
Storage: Store sterilized components as the instructions of the sterile barrier package or system chosen.
Air FiLterinG
The unit is equipped with an air filter (A3) which should be replaced when dirty or when its
colour changes. To replace the filter take it out by pulling it as shown in figure. The filter is
designed to remain fixed in its housing.
Use only Flaem original accessories.
