The CPX I/O modules are intended for use only in CPX ter-
minals. The I/O modules for CPX terminals each consist of
an electronic module which is fitted together with a com-
binable sub-base in a manifold sub-base of the CPX ter-
minal.
The maximum values specified in the section "Technical
specifications" must be observed during operation. De-
tailed information can be found in the manual for the CPX
I/O modules and pneumatic interfaces P.BE-CPX-EA-.. as
well as in the CPX system manual P.BE-CPX-SYS-.. .
Warning
S Before carrying out installation and maintenance
work, switch off the following:
– the compressed air supply,
– the operating and load voltage supplies.
S Connect an earth conductor of sufficient cross-sec-
tional area to the connection on the CPX terminal
marked with the earth symbol.
S The I/O modules contain electrostatically sensitive
components. Do not therefore touch any contacts.
Observe the regulations for handling electrostatically
sensitive components.
Please note
Commission only a CPX terminal which has been fitted
and wired completely.
