If there is not a high level of consumption, the extraction by other methods will increase the extent of
silage materials a great deal, and thereby compromise the storage in the silo.
7) Mixture
The mixing phase of the ingredient begins right after inserting the last portion in the bin.
NOTE: In conclusion, it is very important not to overload the machine. It is best to keep the
rotation of the driveshaft from 500-540 rpm.
8) Discharge
The discharge phase must be performed immediately after the mixing phase. It is important to spread
the feed as quickly as possible, in order to reduce the difference in time to the minimum, from the time
between the first and last ingredient is discharged after the mixing time. It is the responsibility of the
operator, to adjust the forward speed or the opening of the discharge door. In this phase, we
recommend operating the power take-off at a speed of 300-400 rpm.
Operating Phases
1) Remove the shielding cover from the ingredient that will be ground (if it is covered).
2) Move the wagon back, so that the milling machine leans against the ingredient that will be ground,
checking at the same time so that nobody is around the machine.
3) Before leaning the milling machine against the ingredient, activate the driveshaft and check if the
safety valves of the cylinders are in the operating position (open).
CAUTION:
Caution with the electric power lines.
4) Lower the rear blade, move it back slowly in a straight line until the desired depth of the milling
machine is obtained and immobilize the tractor using the parking brake. It is essential for the steering
tires of the tractor are perfectly aligned to the wagon during the reverse movement, in order to avoid
collisions in the discharge phase of the ingredient when the processing work is concluded.
5) Slowly activate the rotation of the milling machine in the counter-clockwise direction (fig.1) then
when the driveshaft is rotating around 300-400 rpm. Begin the milling processing of the ingredient,
adjusting the discharge speed using the respective button and then proceed for about 200-300 mm.
Stop the rotation then and proceed to invert the rotation direction (fig.2).
Accelerate the motor until the driveshaft reaches 540 rpm, and then finish the loading.
6) Conclude the milling machine operation, lift the moveable blade slowly and move it away slowly,
always in a straight line, so that the machine does not collide laterally with the ingredient mixture.
