4-5) MIG / MAG, Pulse MIG or Twin Pulse MIG (optional)
These applications can be achieved by connecting to the wire fee-
der to the generator see Table 1.1. (See Chap. 5 COMPOSITION
SYSTEM to Page 8).
In this case is sufficient to select the type of welding on the front
panel of the generator and the system will set up automatically the
correct program.
Based on selectable Standard function (STD), Synergy (SYN) and
Pulse MIG (Pulse MIG), it allows to obtain a better welding quality
with an extreme setting simplicity from the user thanks to the 700
internal programs.
Thanks to a very simple system, all the regulations are available on
the front panel of the wire feeder.
6) ELECTRODE
The electrode function allows the operator to carry out adjustments
which even permit to make changes related to the dynamic.
Multilink feeding system
The generator is able to "auto-set" itself according to the net volta-
ge with range 190 : 485 V mono-phase or three-phase. In mono-
phase feeding the output nominal current is automatically lowered.
(See Technical Specifications table to Page 45).
The input voltage is monitored when the generator is turned on as
well as during the welding. If such voltage exceeds the foreseen
limits, the generator jams and an alarm signal appears on the fron-
tal display (ALL PSU, see Page 43). Thanks to this protection and
to the wide voltage range it is possible to use the generator with
mono-phase and tri-phase motogenerator.
The door on the back panel allows you to connect the feeding cable
and the Cooler Unit (if used) without opening the generator (see
Page 5). The operator can make use of a mono-phase or three-
phase feeding cable depending on the feeding or he can use
instead a three-phase cable with a plug, connecting a three-phase
to mono-phase adapter to the latter.
The generator is equipped with a three-phase cable (3 poles +
ground) without plug.
APPLICATIONS
I
n MIG/MAG applications, the interconnecting cable can be up to
50 Mt. Long. For different lengths please get in touch with our ser-
vice centre.
• Cooling unit pump prevalence of is of max 7 Mt.
• Any different application from the listed ones is not permit-
ted and can compromise the work safety and the reliability of
the system.
In case the installation has to be carried out in particular hostile
conditions, please refer to the service centre for help, advises and
use precautions. It is advisable to keep up an ordinary maintenan-
ce procedure, (to be agreed with the Service centre) every 2-3
month after the sale of the generator.
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
Avoid any deposit of metallic dust inside the generator.
Disconnect the generator from the net, before operating any
servicing!
Standard checks to the generator:
• Operate an internal cleaning by using low pressure
compressed air and soft bristle brushes.
• Check the electrical connections and all the rest of
the connecting cables.
For the maintenance and the use of gas regulators consult the
specific handbook.
