Route the supplied sensor wiring harness to the drilled holes -1- to -4- in the bumper covering. Wire 1 must be
allocated to the right-hand drilled hole in the forward direction and the other wires, 2 - 4, must then be sequentially
allocated.
Use the supplied socket cable ties -arrow- to secure the wiring harness to the bumper covering.
Page 3 – Fig. 1
Note
The following steps can only be completed after the paint on the sensors is completely dry.
For reasons of clarity, the figure shows a dismantled sensor.
The correct position of the sensors can be seen using the markings in the outer ring of the sensors - these must
point upwards.
The plug -3- is designed such that it can only be plugged into the connector socket -1- on the sensor -2- in one
position.
Clip the sensors -2- into the holes in the bumper covering.
Connect the plug -3- to the connector sockets -1- of the sensors -2-. Push the covers -4- over the sensors -2-.

Remove the grommet -arrow- on the left in the vehicle's luggage compartment.
Note
Depending on the vehicle fittings (e.g. trailer hitch), a wiring grommet may already be already fitted instead of the
grommet. In this case remove the wiring grommet from the sensor wiring harness included in the scope of delivery.
Drill an extra hole in the vehicle's wiring grommet and run the sensor wiring harness through this opening into the
vehicle interior. Seal the additional opening with a suitable sealant.
Refit the bumper covering following the same sequence in reverse, pulling the wiring harness inside the vehicle.
Mount the wiring grommet -arrows-.
Route the sensor wiring harness to the fitting site of the Park Distance Control system control unit (see page 3,
fig. 3, -1-).
