1.0 – CONFIGURATION OF SILENYA HT ALARM SYSTEM
The Silenya HT control panel acts as the brain of a security alarm system with home automation options made possible by the integration of a
control panel with various types of detectors or sensors, control and dissuasion and alarm devices. Intervention by the installer is essential to
appropriately configure the system according to the requirements of the customer by selecting and programming the various system
components. Before proceeding with installation, the possibilities, including the limits, of the system must be clear so that the operating and
intervention characteristics can be determined. The control panels are suitably linked to detectors, sirens and various accessories and are able
to meet any system requirement, the dimensions of which are determined principally by the radio range of the devices (see technical
characteristics) and can be extended where necessary by means of appropriate repeaters.
Unlike the majority of control panels available on the market, the Silenya HT devices are also able to effectively control detectors outside the
areas being protected, thereby setting off intruder alarms which are an essential warning system when the customer is present in these
protected areas.
Note: The outdoor detectors may generate improper alarms due to unavoidable natural phenomena which interact with the devices. Improper
alarms can be reduced to a negligible minimum by careful prior selection of the equipment and correct programming and installation. The
installer's skills and experience are fundamental; however, equally important is an understanding by the customer of the limits of the equipment
and the customer's collaboration in avoiding events which are potential causes of improper alarms.

2.0 – SILENYA HT CONTROL PANELS GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The result of the most recent and innovative Silentron research, the Silenya HT control panels represent the best installation solutions for
medium and large alarm systems with and without wiring, together with integrated home automation functions and remote management options.
The considerable capacity of the microprocessor allows for a great flexibility in applications. The keypad and the back-lighted display facilitate
programming operations and verification of events, enabling the user to understand the various functions performed by the equipment. The
system is among the safest and most reliable on the market thanks to its supervised two-way DualBand transmission and the anti-scanning
function.
This manual describes the general operations of the control panel and, therefore, of the system, the functioning of which depends on the
programming performed by the installer. It is the responsibility of the system designer and/or installer to explain to the customer the functions
available and the relative consequences in the various control and alarm situations. Equally, it is the customer's responsibility to read the
present manual and ask the installer for clarification if necessary, in order to use the system effectively, properly and in a manner which does
not disturb others.

SILENTRON – made in Italy
230V AC powered control panel, with internal rechargeable 12V 2.2Ah battery. Guarantees an excellent
level of security and considerable flexibility in home automation thanks to the integrated double phone
dialler which operates on PSTN lines, as well as GSM network. This is the most complete model in the
range, suitable for large, predominantly wireless systems, with the possibility of powering and
connecting several detectors and sirens by hardwiring, thus achieving a highly effective mixed
radio/hardwired system.
Similar the previous control panel but powered exclusively by batteries and therefore, not connected to
the mains power supply. Used in fully wireless systems, with no wired detectors and/or sirens, offering
an excellent level of security and flexibility in home automation. To save on consumption, the GSM
module activates only in the case of alarm and is normally switched off.
Similar to model 5500 but without GSM module. Therefore, alarm transmission and command reception
are exclusively processed by the PSTN network.
Similar to model 5501 but without GSM module. Therefore, alarm transmission and command reception
are exclusively processed by the PSTN network.
Control panel status, differing for each cause of alarm foreseen (see sound and alarm signals). The "panic" alarm
assumes that the user present at site wishes to attract attention and deter any intruders, while the "robbery" alarm
assumes a situation of extreme danger where it is preferable not to activate the siren or a situation where
assistance of a different kind is needed (e.g. doctor assistance).
Alarm caused by a defect and/or failure of one or more devices (covered by industrial guarantee).
Alarm caused by incorrect positioning, technical limit of device and/or random accidental causes independent of
the equipment itself (not covered by industrial guarantee).
Group of detectors, activated/deactivated individually in conjunction with other groups (zones A-B-C). 24-hour
zones (panic-robbery-technical) are always activated. All detectors are programmed in only one zone.
Single location of a specific detector (two in the case of AND) which protects an area, a point or a surface.
Control panel function intended to reduce improper alarms. Two detectors are programmed on the same channel
and the control panel sets off the alarm only if both transmit an alarm signal within 30 seconds (cannot be varied).
Keypad function allowing the disarming of the control panel by entering a different code to the usual one, arming
at the same time the transmission of "robbery" vocal and SMS messages (silent alarm) to specified telephone
numbers.
Operation which allows the restriction of a detector until reset (due to failure or other reason).
Electronic/electromechanical automation system for domestic functions (open/close doors, turn on
Attempt to open the casings of the system equipment and/or remove them from their points of
Control panel function which registers and displays the last 200 operations performed.
Control panel status prior to actual alarm determined by alarm-delay-programmed detectors or external siren
status before sounding alarm (repeated beeps for about 10 seconds).
Device designed to signal an intrusion, passing, open door/window and any other event which poses a danger.
Equivalent term used in the manual: SENSOR
Control panel test condition which blocks all sirens and also allows for a battery change.
