2.3- Operational safety
In order to operate this machine, and in addition to performing any
maintenance or repair, the following instructions in this manual must be
followed. Special attention must be paid to all recommendations and safety
warnings, besides the fulfilment of all hygiene and work safety norms that
are currently applicable. People who are in charge of using and performing
maintenance in the machine must be trained for such, and must be informed
about the risks involved when the machine is used inappropriately, as well as
the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
In order to facilitate the visualization of internal components, certain images
or illustrations in this manual may show a security protection removed.
However, the machine can never be used in this condition. Before starting
the machine, check that all safety guards have been fitted. Never operate the
machine without the safety guards.
Never operate the machine in case you have ingested alcoholic beverages or
taken medicine, which might change your state of alert and coordination.
Keep alert and focused during the operation and always act with good sense.
A moment of inattention might result in a serious accident.
Before turning on the machine, make sure there are no tools or other objects
on it. Perform a check on the machine, noting that there are no loose bolts,
worn parts, cracks, leaks, or loose parts. Observe the surroundings and keep
animals and spectators at a safe distance. Take special care of children.
It is forbidden to stand on the machine when it is working or being used for
transportation. Whenever it is necessary to climb on the machine for cleaning,
to perform any adjustments or repair, turn off the tractor PTO and wait until
all the components are completely stationary.
This equipment is dangerous for children and persons not familiar with its
operation. Do not allow them to approach the machine during operation.
If you notice any abnormalities in operation, vibrations, different noises,
etc., turn off the machine immediately, check and eliminate the cause before
turning it on again.
Whenever it is necessary to get off the tractor, engage the parking brake,
turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.
The operator must have sufficient visibility of work areas considered to be
hazardous. The machine must not be left unattended while it is engaged
with the tractor and with the ignition keys inserted. Turn off the tractor and
remove the ignition key if you need to move away from the machine.
