6.9- Conservation
As important as preventive maintenance is
your machine daily conservation. This special
care consists of cleaning and protecting
against the weather and corrosive effects of
some products.
Follow these recommendations to ensure a
longer useful life of your equipment.
6.9.1- Daily cleaning
Remove any crop residues from your
machine.
Do a thorough wash. Dry any water
accumulated in the machine guards.
Hydraulic components should only be
cleaned with low pressure water jets to
avoid damaging the seals.
6.9.2- Annual overhaul
It is recommended to perform, at the end of each season, a machine general
overhaul at your dealer or at the factory.
Do a completely and rigorously machine washing.
Dry any water accumulated in the machine guards.
Retouch the paint where it is needed.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Apply anti-corrosive oil to the metal parts of the machine.
Lubricate properly.
Attention during cleaning work guarantees safety to all involved. Lack of
attention can result in personal injury.
Wear safety clothing, gloves, and goggles during cleaning. Protect your body
and face from splashes of dirt and oil. Insufficient body and face protection
can cause severe skin and eye damage.
Neutral Ph cleaners offer optimum machine protection. Products with very
low or very high Ph may be corrosive when used on plastic or rubber surfaces.
