Service and Maintenance

Servicing of Alethia should be performed by qualified professionals only.
Bioscience Technical Support at (800) 343-3858 for technical support or to make arrangements for
service. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SERVICE ALETHIA.
Surface Cleaning
Cleaning of the exterior surfaces of Alethia and the immediate work area should be performed as
necessary, no less then daily when in use.
1. Power off unit and disconnect from power source.
2. Moisten a lint-free cloth with 10% bleach solution or DNAse/RNAse cleaning solution.
3. Wipe outer surfaces of instrument with a moistened lint free cloth.
4. Open the instrument lids and, if available, insert test well covers. Wipe interior surfaces with same
moistened cloth. Care should be taken not to allow cleaning solution to enter the test wells.
Note: Avoid cleaning the latch area when cleaning the inside surfaces of the instrument.
WARNING: Surface cleaning should be performed only when the instrument is powered-off AND
disconnected from the power source. DO NOT use saturated clothes for cleaning. DO NOT spray the
instrument directly. DO NOT clean the test wells with compressed air.
DO NOT spray the Alethia instrument directly with
any solution
DO NOT clean or wipe over latch areas
