Connect to power
D A N G E R
Electrical shock and fire hazards. Replacement power cords must:
• Have the correct plug style for the outlet connection
• Have a rating sufficient for the supply voltage and current. Refer to
the requirements in the Specifications section.
• Meet or exceed local electrical code requirements
D A N G E R
Electrocution hazard. Do not connect AC power directly to a DC
powered instrument.
For AC models, connect the supplied power cord to the AC power input
and an electrical outlet.
For DC models, connect an external power source (24 VDC) to the
supplied 7-pin or 8-pin connector, then push the connector into the 7-pin
or 8-pin connector on the instrument. Refer to
Table 4
for wiring information. Refer to the illustrated steps in
for 8-pin connector wiring. Contact technical support for 7-pin connector
wiring.
Make sure that the output voltage of the external power source does not
exceed 28 VDC.
The maximum number of instruments that can connect to one external
power source can change with the communication option. Contact
technical support for more information.
