Adjusting Riving Knife
WARNING: TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Unplug the Table Saw before this procedure.
NOTE: The Riving Knife (88) is used for straight cuts and to keep the cut wood in line with the Saw Blade,
creating a clean straight cut. The Riving Knife will need to be repositioned before initial use.
WARNING! When adjusting, make sure that the Riving Knife is carefully aligned directly behind the Saw
Blade so that the workpiece will pass beyond the Blade without binding or twisting.
1. With the Table Insert removed, rotate the Adjusting Lever up and pull the Riving Knife out slightly to
disengage the tabs on the Connecting Bar. This will allow the Riving Knife to slide up and down.
2. Bring the Riving Knife up so that the bottom mounting holes are set against tabs on the Connecting
Bar.
3. Pull the Adjusting Lever forward, locking the Riving Knife in its new position.
4. Once the Blade is installed and the Riving Knife adjusted to its working setting, replace the Table Insert.
