BOTH AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF A REPAIR CHECK THE EQUIPMENT INSULATION LEVELS.
DISCONNECT THE ELECTRONIC BOARDS WHEN MEASURING THE INSULATION.
The insula tion-mea suring device will ha ve 5 0 0 V D.C. a nd will be a pplie d to the following points of the circuit:
- Supply-Ea rth: Ra > 5 0 Mohms.
- Welding -Ea rth: Ra > 5 0 Mohms.
- Supply-Welding : Ra > 5 0 Mohms.
BEFORE TURNING THE EQUIPMENT ON, ENSURE THAT IT IS OFF LOAD.
DO NOT OPERATE THE ON/OFF SWITCH WITH AN ELECTRICAL LOAD CONNECTED TO THE
WELDING CONNECTORS.

Aluminium is being welded with a dra wing
problem, which ca uses incorrect a rc ignition a s
the wire is slowed down on knocking a ga inst
the piece.
The wire length a t onset of welding process is
too long.
BLOW THE INSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT WITH COMPRESSED AIR.
PO SSIBLE SO LUTIO N.
Examine the dra wing process. Prevent the gun from ma king
"knots", keeping it in a stra ight line. The wire must not be
slowed down when it knocks a ga inst the piece
Correct a rc end opera tion. Do not strike too long a fina l
wire length.
