6.8.2- Sharpening the rotor knives
Turn off the tractor's power take-off and

the tractor's engine;
Loosen the handle (G) and remove cover

Turn on the PTO in working speed (540

rpm);
Carefully turn the handle (F) clockwise

until the sharpener stone touches the
knives;
Press the handle to press the stone
5.
against the knives. Keep the pressure for,
approximately, 10 seconds;
After sharpening, move the stone away
6.
from the knives by turning the handle
counterclockwise;
Turn off the power take off;
7.
Wait a few moments until the rotor
8.
stops rotation and inspect the knives. If
necessary, repeat sharpening;
Replace the cover (H);
9.
Retighten the handle (G) until it locks the

cover (H);
Replace the gears (E), the cover (D) and
11.
fix it with the bolts (C);
Close the platform fairing (B) and fix it
12.
with the bolt (A).
Repeat the procedure to sharpen the

knives of the other rotor.
