To inject fluid into the ventricles, occlude the reservoir
dome nearest the distal catheter with transcutaneous
finger pressure. While the distal dome is depressed,
inject desired fluid into the dome nearest the ventricular
catheter, remove the needle, and depress the ventricular
dome to flush the fluids into the ventricular catheter.
Release the distal reservoir dome, then release the
ventricular reservoir dome. Alternately depress the
ventricular and distal domes several times rapidly to
fully inject desired fluid. To inject distally, occlude the
dome nearest the ventricular catheter, inject fluid into
distal dome, remove needle, and depress the distal
dome. Remove pressure from ventricular dome, then
distal dome.
NOTE: Use only a 25-gauge or smaller HUBER-point
needle to puncture the ACCU-FLO Reservoir through the
reservoir dome.
