II.4.2
LIFTING AND HANDLING
DANGER!
Movement of the unit must be performed with care,
in order to avoid damage to the external structure
and to the internal mechanical and electrical
components. Also make sure that there are no
obstacles or people along the route, in order to
prevent the risk of impact, crushing or tipping the
lifting and handling device.
The unit is supplied on a wooden support structure, which is used to
facilitate handling the unit with a forklift or hand truck. Use this method
to move the unit close to the installation area.
Once the final installation area is reached, remove the lower wooden
structure (unscrew the 4 screws). Pass the straps through the slots on
the base of the unit, having first checked their suitability (their strength
and the state of wear and tear). Tighten the belts and verify that they
remain attached to the upper edge of the passage; lift the unit a few
centimetres, and only after having verified that the load is stable,
remove the pallet while taking care not to interpose any part of the body
in order to prevent any risk of crushing or impact due to the load falling
or moving suddenly. Carefully carry the unit to the installation site.
Lower the unit carefully and fix it into place.
II.4.2.1
Handling guidelines
DANGER!
An off-centred barycentre could cause sudden and
hazardous movements. Movement of the unit must
be performed with care, in order to avoid damage to
the external structure and to the internal
mechanical and electrical components. Also make
sure that there are no obstacles or people along the
route, in order to prevent the risk of impact,
crushing or tipping the lifting device.
