Cleaning Instructions

The XV1 combines precision optical instruments with electronic circuitry and LED technology. For optimal
performance and long life, it is important that your product is properly cleaned and is protected from rough use
and improper storage.
• DO NOT RINSE PRODUCT UNDER RUNNING WATER. The product is not waterproof.
• DO NOT SUBMERGE IN ANY LIQUID OR AN ULTRASONIC C LEANER OR DAMAGE MAY RESULT.
• DO NOT USE AN AUTOCLAVE, CHEMICLAVE, GLUTARALDEHYDE, IODOPHOR, OR ANY OTHER
CAUTION
STERILIZATION METHOD. DAMAGE MAY RESULT.
You may disinfect using a low-alcohol (<25%) disinfectant such as CaviCide® or CaviCide1®. Disinfectant wipes are
recommended. If using a disinfectant spray, spray liquid onto a soft cloth, and wipe the product rather than spraying
liquid directly onto the product.
Finally, clean all lens surfaces with the optical lens cleaning cloth provided with this product. Cleaning cloths
formulated for use with coated lens surfaces may also be purchased at major retail chains, optical stores, and drug
stores.

Prescription & Refurbishing Services
• New Prescription - our optical laboratory installs your new prescription in both the eyeglass lens and inside the
telescopes of your XV1.
• Loupe Refurbishing - our optical lab technicians clean your telescopes and frame, and replace worn-out screws,
nose pad, battery pods, and head strap. Your XV1 will look like new!
