Indications
The OPTI-LENGTH MICROSECT and
MICROSECT Shavers are intended for
microsurgical subarticular, sublaminar,
or foraminal decompression in the spine.
Description
These instruments are provided nonsterile
and must be cleaned and sterilized before
use, including initial use.
OPTI-LENGTH MICROSECT and MICROSECT
Shavers are available in varying sizes and are
available separately. Refer to outer label for
a description of the package content.
Information for Use
The thin footplate allows access into
compromised spaces while reducing the risk
of compression of underlying structures.
The footplate is tapered to allow progressive
bone removal with each shaving action, and
to maximize efficiency as the microsurgical
instrument is advanced into the area to be
decompressed. The reversed cutting motion
facilitates removal of bone away from the
neurological structures.
WARNINGS
Use of this microsurgical instrument for
purposes or in a manner other than those
described will cause instrument damage
or failure that could result in serious patient
injury or death.
