Installation instructions
3.1 Assigning the AS-Interface address
Before connecting an AS-Interface slave to the bus, assign
a non-reserved address to each slave. Set the desired address
with the addresser.
– Factory setting of the terminal: AS-Interface addresses 0 and 0
– ID code = F
; IO code = 7
H
– It is not necessary to parametrize the AS-Interface slaves.
– Recommendation: use the Festo addresser ASI-PRG-ADR.
PLEASE NOTE
The valve terminal with CPV..-GE-ASI-8E8A-Z requires 2 AS-
Interface addresses. The address of the 2nd. slave must be
higher. We recommend that you use 2 consecutive ad-
dresses. The addresses are stored electronically (no battery)
and can be modified up to 10 times. After that the valve ter-
minal maintains the last set AS-Interface address.
Automatic addressing with the function "Automatic address
assignment" of the master is not possible.
First addressing with factory setting (addresses 0 / 0):
1. Assign the desired AS-Interface address as usual
(1st. slave; permitted address range: n = 1 ... 30).
2. Actuate the address selector button (i.e. with a ball pen).
When voltage is applied, the red address selector LED lights up.
3. Assign address n+x as usual (2nd. slave; permitted address
range: n+x = 2 ... 31; recommendation: x = 1).
Even when voltage is not applied during addressing, the
red address selector LED lights up briefly.
4. Actuate the address selector button (LED is out).
Modifying the addressing: Set both addresses to 0 with the
Festo addresser, then proceed as with first-time addressing.
