CPX I/O modules are exclusively intended for use in CPX
terminals. I/O modules for CPX terminals each consist of
an electronics module which is assembled in an interlink
ing block of the CPX terminal along with a combinable
connection block.
The specified limits of the technical data must be complied
with during operation. See the description for CPX IO mod
ules and pneumatic interfaces P.BE−CPX−EA−... and the CPX
system description P.BE−CPX−SYS−... for further informa
tion.
Warning
S Before carrying out installation and maintenance
work, switch off the following:
S Connect an earth wire with sufficient cable cross
section to the terminal marked with an earth symbol.
S The I/O modules contain electrostatically sensitive
devices. For this reason, do not touch any compo
nents. Observe the handling specifications for elec
trostatically sensitive devices.
Note
Only put a completely assembled and wired CPX
terminal into commission.
