Heavily Worn Areas: For large areas where the finish is worn, or water stained, apply the
Color Enhancer to the area with a foam brush. Use a lint-free cloth to work it into the grain
and remove any excess. Multiple coats may be necessary, especially on closed grained
hardwoods like maple and cherry. Wait 10 minutes between coats of Color Enhancer.
STEP #2 – APPLY COLOR ENHANCER
The Color Enhancer will restore your cabinets' rich, original color without hiding the
natural wood grain.
Start with Cabinet Frames:
A. Before applying the Color Enhancer, wipe all frames, doors and drawers with a dry,
lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or residue left on the surface.
B. Tape the inside edges of each cabinet frame with smooth painter's tape.
Be sure all edges are pressed down to ensure that none of the coating will be able
to bleed through.
C. Thoroughly stir the Color Enhancer using a stir stick and pour a portion into a clean,
disposable container.
D. To apply, simply dip your 2" foam brush into the Color Enhancer, and apply to
cabinet frames in random pattern. Be sure to work the Color Enhancer into the
cracks and crevices.
E. Once you have coated the outside of the cabinet, wait 1-2 minutes and use your
lint-free cloth to work the Color Enhancer into the grain of the wood. When wiping off
the Color Enhancer be sure to follow the grain of the wood, using long smooth strokes.
You will be removing the majority of the Color Enhancer from the surface in this step.
F. Wait about 10 minutes and apply additional coats to any lightly colored areas
if necessary.
