8. MAKING A RECORDING

The recorder has four File Folders (A, B, C, D) in which recordings may be stored.
A total of 99 recordings may be stored in each folder. A total of 396 recordings may be stored on the recorder.
If there is no space left on the unit, the LCD will display "FULL". Delete some recordings or move them to your PC
in order to continue recording.
8.1 To make a recording:
1. Place the recorder in Standby mode. The LCD should display the current File Folder location (A,
B, C, or D) as well as the File Number. See the "Getting Started" section for details.
2. Press FILE/REPEAT to change or select a File Location (A, B, C, or D).
3. Press
to start recording. The Record Indicator LED will light red.
4. Press
recording to view the remaining recording time.
5. Press PAUSE/ERASE to pause recording. The display will flash "PAUSE". Press PAUSE/ERASE
again to resume recording.
6. If the Voice Activated System (VAS) is enabled, the recorder will automatically pause recording
when no sound is detected.
7. Press
to stop and save the recording, the screen displays the message "Saving".
