No engineering functions via PROFIBUS interface
Engineering functions (load project, online functions) are not available via the PROFIBUS interface assigned to the CPU
1507S. The same is true for routed engineering connections (e.g. an S7-1500 CPU as S7 router).
Loading of SIMATIC IPC via PROFIBUS
You cannot load the software controller via the Profibus interface of a SIMATIC IPC.
PROFIBUS slaves with CP5622
When you are using the CP5622 with the CPU, the maximum permitted number of PROFIBUS slaves is 64.
Maximum permitted number of S7 routing connections
The maximum number of routed S7 connections for PROFIBUS and PROFINET is 16.
Passive TCP/IP connection
With an TCP/IP connection where you are only receiving and not sending data, you will not be informed about a loss of
connection.
Remote connection with changed settings
If you are changing the following settings of the passive remote partner, for example, with a remote connection via
PROFINET, the connection will still be maintained:
● IP address
● Port number
Go online with more than 100 S7 connections via IE General
Going online with TIA when there are more than 100 S7 connections via IE General at the Windows end can result in update
problems. Change to the real-time end or reduce the number of S7 connections before you go online.
Existing connection with different port numbers in open communication (OUC)
The combination of an unspecified local port number at the active end with a specified remote port number on the passive
end does not prevent the connection.
The specified remote port number does not overwrite the unspecified local port number.
