RIGIDLOOP™ Variable Depth
Gauge for Cortical Fixation
DESCRIPTION
The RIGIDLOOP™ Variable Depth Gauge is a
reusable device that provides measurements for
drilling during soft tissue surgery. It consists of a probe
and body with markings that provide total femoral
tunnel length, recommended implant loop size, graft
in tunnel length, and femoral socket drill depth when
positioned over the distal end of a RIGIDLOOP
passing pin.

INDICATION FOR USE
The RIGIDLOOP Variable Depth Gauge is intended
as an aid in measuring total femoral tunnel length,
recommended implant loop size, graft in tunnel length,
and femoral socket drill depth in soft tissue ligament
reconstruction surgery.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.
WARNINGS
• Do not attempt clinical use of the RIGIDLOOP
Variable Depth Gauge before reviewing the
instructions for use.
• The surgeon using this device must be familiar with
the appropriate surgical techniques prior to use.
PRECAUTIONS
• Carefully inspect before each use for damage.
Remove the Probe from the Gauge body before
surgery to ensure all parts fit together and are not
damaged. If any damage or excessive wear is
noted, replace part.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Drill / Measure Femoral Tunnel
1. Drill the RIGIDLOOP passing pin through the
lateral femoral condyle in the appropriate location
until the laser mark reaches the surface of the
intercondylar notch.
2. Make a small incision around the passing pin at
its exit point.
3. Pass the Variable Depth Gauge over the distal end
of the passing pin until the tip of the gauge reaches
the lateral cortex of the femur.
