Installation
6.1
Overview
The installation is divided into the following steps:
1. Programme installation and
2. USB driver installation
You do not need any connection to the control system or
boiler for the installation with the effect that you can
perform the installation at any place in advance.

Note!
Observe the specified order! Install the pro-
gramme first and then the USB driver. This
makes the subsequent assignment of the com-
munication interface easier.
A setup wizard guides you through the installation of the
programme. Components of the operating system are
not changed by the installation.
• Check whether vrDIALOG/2 and vrDIALOG 810/2 are
able to be installed on your computer (refer to Chapter
3, System requirements).

You need administrator rights to install vrDIA-
LOG/2 or vrDIALOG 810/2 under Windows
2000 or XP (Home and Professional), Vista.

Do not connect the USB adapter to the computer!
The setup wizard installs vrDIALOG/2 or vrDIALOG 810/2
on your computer.
• Log on with the user name under which you wish to
subsequently analyse and configure your control sys-
tem.

Note!
The programme symbol and the programme
group are set up only for the logged on users
(Windows 2000 and XP, Windows Vista), so
that other users are unable to change your con-
figuration.
• Close all running programmes before beginning with
the installation. This applies in particular to anti-virus
programmes
• Insert the programme CD in the CD-ROM drive.
• Follow the instructions on the screen.
If the initial screen does not appear after inserting the
programme CD, you must start the setup wizard manual-
ly from the CD. This is how to do it:
• Double-click on My Computer on the Windows desk-
top.
• Double-click on the symbol of your CD-ROM drive.
• Double-click on INSTALL.EXE.
