Cleaning
Any personnel can clean the exterior of the converter.
Prior to cleaning, remove the power plug from the wall
socket.
The converter can be cleaned with:
•
A damp cloth
•
Vacuum-cleaner.
The converter must not be cleaned with:
•
Detergents
•
Excessive amounts of water.
Clean the converter on the inside by removing any large
paper pieces by hand and subsequently cleaning it with a
vacuum-cleaner (first pull the plug from the wall socket; it
is recommended to wear hand protection).
If the converter is cleaned by someone other than the
operator of the converter (e.g. a cleaning department or
external cleaning company), these persons must have
the correct instructions to safely carry out the cleaning
activities

Maintenance
Before performing maintenance on the converter, the
electrical supply must be turned off by pulling the power
plug from the wall socket.
Pay attention to sharp edges, corners
and knives of the converter due to the
risk of cutting.

Do not operate the converter when
the safety

Warning!
Maintenance of the converter should be performed at least
once a week:
•
Open the cover of the converter.
•
Remove paper scraps.
•
Wipe with a dry, damp cloth to remove excess paper
dust.
•
Close the cover.
At least once a year the converter needs to be inspected
by a qualified person.
The following points need to be checked:
•
Various converter adjustments
•
Operation of the safety provisions
•
Legibility of the warning stickers
•
Wear and tear of parts
•
Clean cutting area
•
Quality of the PaperStar™ shaped material.

3.8.1 Repair / Replacing Parts
Repairs can only be carried out by a qualified service
technician.
•
Only Ranpak supplied parts are permitted for use as
replacement parts.
•
Parts can be ordered by a Ranpak distributor.
•
Deviating from the instructions above can affect the
safety of the converter. The manufacturer cannot
accept liability for such deviations
