Problem
Displays error
message:
HIGH LEAK!!!
Adjust mask.
Display error
message:
Exxxx (where xxxx
defines an error)
The Data Card is
returned without the
expected patient data.
The following message
is displayed on the
LCD after the patient
inserts a Data Card:
Card Error
Remove Card
Possible Cause
Your patient has experienced
leak levels of greater than
0.7 L/s (42 L/min) for more
than 20 seconds.
Component failure.
Data Card was not inserted
correctly.
Data Card was only partly
inserted.
The card is not a ResScan Data
Card.
Data Card is not inserted
correctly.
The card is not a ResScan Data
Card.
Data Card has been removed
before the Copy Complete
Remove Card message was
displayed.
If this message occurs
repeatedly even when the Data
Card is inserted correctly, there
may be a physical card fault on
the Data Card.
Solution
Check air tubing
connections and mask fit.
Return your S8 Elite for
servicing.
Check that the patient is
inserting the Data Card into
the Data Card module with
the arrow facing up, while
the S8 Elite is powered and
not delivering therapy (in
standby mode).
Check that the patient is
inserting the Data Card as
far as it will go into the slot
on the Data Card module.
Check that the card used is
a ResScan Data Card.
Check that the patient is
inserting the Data Card into
the Data Card module with
the arrow facing up, while
the S8 Elite is switched on
and not delivering therapy
(standby mode).
Check that the card used is
a ResScan Data Card.
Advise the patient to
reinsert the Data Card and
wait for the Copy
Complete Remove Card
message to appear on the
LCD.
Issue a new Data Card to
the patient.
